Scandic is the result of the best Scandinavian dressage stallions combined with the best of a prominent Dutch performance-line. Scandic had an excellent foal report in 2004. He represents the New Dutch Dressage Dynasty.

Scandic successfully competed in the young horse championship in 2004 and went on to be the KWPN champion at the stallion show in 2005, which he also won in 2004.

His pedigree is a mark of the truly modern sportshorse that performs and produces.

Last autumn in Ermelo, Scandic scored a 9 for his trot, a 9.5 for his canter thereby making his marks the highest of his year. This stallion has a very original, forthcoming pedigree, not from within the KWPN breeding. His sire, Solos Carex performed at the highest dressage level. Last summer he shone out during the World Rider Games, at the moment he is revered in the World Cup dressage circuit ridden by Tina Welhellmson. His dam, Noraline is an expressive, more than sufficiently developed mare. Recently she completed her IBOP test with appealing results: walk 7.5, trot 8.5, and canter 8 Overall impressions 8.5. Her sire is the Swedish bred Amiral, who was a valuable steadfast member of the Swedish dressage team ridden by Kyra Kirkland. Amongst other successes, they qualified for the World Rider Games, Rome 1998 and the Sydney Olympics 2000. Grandam, Joline is by the thoroughbred Trakehner, Michelango out of Eljenhove, an 'elite, preferent' mare by the Amor son, Akteur. Eljenhove is also the dam of the jumping star, Luidam. Meanwhile, Luidam has been bought for an enormous sum by John Popely. His performance test speaks about a stallion, which trots with a lot of elevation, power and tact. He can collect well and has a lot of balance. The canter has a lot of space, elevation, power and he collects well. Scandic won the stallion competition 2003/2004 and 2005 with highly superior figures. He won all the selection competitions and the final itself with a lead of no less than 6 points.
