Metall's foals formed a uniform collection.
They
were well developed, stand in good rectangular model and had a great deal of
charisma.
The head was expressive. The poll and neck had good length. The
neck was sometimes a little
deep, but was muscled more than enough in the topline and was well carried.
The wither was adequately developed. The shoulders had good length and
placement. The foals drop off a little behind the wither. The muscling
of the back-loin connection was more than sufficient. The sloping, well-muscled
croup should be a little longer. The well-developed hamstring should also
be a little longer. The foreleg had good length, but was some times a
little tight. The hindleg was sickle-hocked.
The walk had a good-sized stride and suppleness. The foals trot actively,
with a good carriage. The foreleg was used well; the hindleg was brought under
the body adequately. The foals don't canter easily. They were tense
in the canter.
In general, the quality of the mothers was good. One of the picked foals died
before the inspection.
